Abstract

Parables are among the most magnificent literary and artistic manifestations of the Quran, through which divine truths and eternal realities are expressed in a way that nourishes each individual according to their capacity. Parables have been primarily studied from a literary perspective, with an emphasis on their rhetorical aspects, often overlooking their deeper, educational dimensions and the unique methods used in their illustration. Additionally, Quranic stories and the entire wording of the Quran, which offer a higher form of parable than common and widespread ones, have been ignored. However, it must be understood that when an individual encounters the parables of the Quran, they do not merely focus on the literary aspects but instead pursue the educational goals and impacts they convey. While literature serves as a key that unlocks these meanings, it is essential to acknowledge that existing studies on Quranic parables are but a glimpse into the infinite expanse of the Quran's depth. A more profound and detailed exploration of the concept of parables is necessary to uncover its secrets, which represent lofty divine knowledge. This study, using a descriptive-analytical method, expands the concept of parables from the conventional examples to stories and all Quranic words. It aims to investigate the embodied truths of human actions as presented through parables in the Quran. This paper offers an overview of parable methods in the Quran, defining parables, their types, and their benefits, and explores the nature of parables in the world and the Quran, emphasizing the portrayal of the visualization of human actions as outlined by God.
